HRC x No2Nangs Run

Tuesday, 23rd January 2026

Event details

This is more than just a run.

On June 23rd, our community is coming together to support Sam Bramman as he begins an extraordinary 300km journey from Sydney to Canberra, running all the way to Parliament House to push for stronger nitrous oxide regulations across Australia.

At just 19 years old, Sam’s life was nearly destroyed by nitrous oxide addiction. What started as a harmless party drug quickly became a daily dependency. Within months, Sam was consuming up to 50 nangs a day. He lost his health, his independence, and nearly lost his life.

After suffering a severe psychotic episode, being hospitalised, and spending a year rebuilding himself from rock bottom, Sam made a decision that changed everything. He decided to run.

Now, he’s using his story to raise awareness, spark change, and help prevent other young Australians from experiencing the same devastating consequences.

📍 Centenary of ANZAC Reserve
📅 Monday, June 23
⏰ 6:15AM

Hills Run Club and the wider community will be joining Sam for the first 7km leg of his journey before he continues his run to Canberra. Whether you’re running beside him, walking, or simply showing up to cheer him on, your support matters.

Together, we’re raising awareness and supporting Sam’s push for:

✔️ Ending rapid home delivery of nitrous oxide
✔️ Introducing sensible purchase limits
✔️ Mandatory age verification for all sales
✔️ Licensing retailers and removing irresponsible sellers
✔️ Banning advertising that promotes misuse and targets young people

This is your chance to be part of something bigger than a run.
